In this work, the crystal structure of the compound 3-amino-5-methylthio-1,2,4-triazole was studied using X-ray structural analysis. The compound crystallizes in the triclinic system, in the P ̅1 space group, with two independent molecules and one water molecule identified in the structure. To identify and visualize intermolecular interactions, a Hirshfeld surface analysis was carried out. The obtained results allowed for a deeper understanding of the molecular structure of the compound, as well as the role of hydrogen bonds in the stability of the crystal lattice.
