DETERMINATION OF SOIL SALINITY LEVELS IN IRRIGATED LANDS USING GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEMS (ON THE EXAMPLE OF KHOVOS DISTRICT OF SYRDARYA REGION)
This research study analyzed the state of soil salinity in the irrigated lands of Khavos district, Syrdarya region. The analyses were
conducted based on field expedition data. Maps were developed based on geographic information systems (GIS). Although the
areas with weakly saline soil salinity accounted for 73.1%, it was found that the areas with moderately saline soil also have a
significant share (26.75%).
