This article analyzes the emergence of the Eastern Peripatetic tradition through the legacy of Abu Nasr al-Farabi, focusing on his
ideas in metaphysics, logic, politics, and the concept of the virtuous society. Special attention is paid to al-Farabi’s synthesis of
Greek philosophy (especially Aristotle and Plato) with Islamic thought and spirituality, as well as his scholarly distinction between
philosophy and religion.
