This article analyzes the philosophical, methodological, and practical aspects of the concept of social development. Social
development is interpreted as a complex phenomenon inextricably linked with the interests of the individual, the life of society,
socio-economic and political processes. The author highlighted the positive and negative changes taking place in society, their
aspects related to democratic reforms, civil society, and national values. The article analyzes theoretical approaches to social
development, in particular, dialectical views, synergetic models, and evolutionary ideas. Current trends in social development in
Uzbekistan, changes across sectors, and future prospects are also revealed. In social development, the relationship between the
individual, society, and the state is considered from a philosophical perspective.
