THE ROLE OF MYTHS AND LEGENDS IN THE WORKS OF CHINGIZ AYTMATOV
This article analyzes the thematic scope of Chingiz Aytmatov’s works and the artistic, philosophical, and structural functions of
myths and legends used in them. From a scholarly perspective, the study substantiates how the mythological layer with in the
literary text is harmonized with the system of images, national values, and contemporary spiritual-philosophical problems. The
analyses show that the writer’s use of myths and legends in the structure of the literary text serves not only to deepen artistic
imagery, but also to address the complex problems of the era of globalization…
