This article provides a scholarly analysis of the historical development of sacred shrines and Sufi pilgrimage sites located in the Fergana region, as well as their role in the spiritual life of the area. Based on historical sources, the study examines the formation of pilgrimage complexes, their intrinsic connection with Sufi teachings, and their significance in the religious consciousness of the local population. Particular attention is paid to assessing the impact of these sacred sites on the development of pilgrimage tourism and their contribution to the socio-economic development of the region. The author emphasizes the issues of preservation, academic research, and integration of the Fergana region’s pilgrimage sites into modern tourism infrastructure. The findings substantiate the necessity of a comprehensive and sustainable approach to the development of pilgrimage tourism.
