The article provides a philosophical analysis of social conflicts as one of the key factors influencing the state of socio-political
security in contemporary society. It substantiates the position that social conflicts act not only as a consequence of objective socioeconomic and political contradictions, but also as an independent source of threats to socio-political stability. The ontological and
axiological foundations of conflictuality, the mechanisms of its politicization, and its transformation into threats to public security
are examined
