ISSUES IN THE PRAGMATIC STUDY OF COLOR-COMPONENT PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS

This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the semantic, stylistic, and pragmatic aspects of color-based phraseological
units. It explores the national-cultural meaning conveyed by color terms, their emotional and expressive impact in speech, and
their communicative functions. From pragmalinguistic perspective, the study examines connotative meanings of color-related
idioms and the ways in which their interpretations may shift under the influence of socio-cultural factors or depending on the
communicative context. The article highlights the role of color phraseological units in creating imagery, expressing evaluation,
and conveying the author’s communicative intent.
