TECHNOLOGY OF APPLYING INTERACTIVE METHODS IN TEACHING THE TOPIC “METALS AND THEIR DISTRIBUTION IN NATURE” IN GENERAL SECONDARY SCHOOLS
The topic “Metals and their distribution in nature” is one of the important sections of the 9th grade chemistry course. This topic
serves to form students’ knowledge about metals widely encountered in everyday life, their physical and chemical properties,
compounds, methods of production, as well as the composition of various alloys. The use of interactive methods such as “Find
Your Place”, “Puzzle”, “Find the Odd One Out”, and “Cluster” in teaching this topic contributes to broadening students’
scientific worldview, developing logical understanding of natural processes, and increasing their interest in chemistry.
