In this study, the synthesis of an iron-containing phthalocyanine pigment possessing semiconductor and photosensitizing properties
was carried out. Various factors affecting the yield of the synthesis process, their optimal conditions, and the thermal properties of
the pigment were investigated. The purity and thermal stability of the obtained product were analyzed using a DTG-60 simultaneous
DTA–TG analyzer (Shimadzu, Japan). Based on the analysis results, the optimal synthesis parameters enabling the pigment to be
obtained with a high yield were determined. The differential thermal analysis (DTA) and thermogravimetric (TG) properties of the
Fe(II) phthalocyanine pigment were studied over the temperature range of 50–800 °C.
