The Jadid movement emerged in Turkestan in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and its representatives published works in
various fields. One of these is the book "India under the Oppression of England" by Pulat Saliev - a prominent Jadid, historian,
and the first Uzbek professor of history. This work, which earned recognition from Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru,
provides a profound analysis of the British conquest of India, the consequences of colonialism, and the national movements of
the early 20th century.
