THE ROLE OF CHILDREN`S PRESS IN THE EDUCATION OF THE YOUNGER GENERATION
This scientific article analyzes, on a historical and scholarly basis, the role and significance of children’s press in the education of
the younger generation during the period of 1945–1960. In the post-war years, newspapers and magazines intended for children
functioned as an important component of the ideological policy implemented in society. The study reveals the functions of
children’s press in shaping moral and ethical values, patriotism, diligence, and civic education. In addition, the content-related
and ideological characteristics of children’s publications are examined using the example of the Uzbek SSR
