This article explores pragmatic barriers as a subfield within linguistic pragmatics, with a specific focus on the Uzbek language. It analyzes the concept of pragmatic barriers from the perspective of Uzbek linguistics, reviewing various scholarly viewpoints regarding the emergence of communicative hindrances. The study outlines both linguistic and extralinguistic factors that give rise to pragmatic barriers, highlights differing perspectives in the field, and provides a comparative analysis of Russian and Uzbek linguistic traditions.
