INGLIZ VA O‘ZBEK TILLARIDA LINGVOFOLKLORISTIKANING ILMIY-NAZARIY ASOSLARI
This article analyzes the scientific and theoretical foundations of linguo-folkloristics in the English and Uzbek languages from a comparative perspective. The folklore text is interpreted at the intersection of linguistics, folklore studies, linguoculturology, and pragmatics, and its oral nature, formulaicity, semantic stability, variability, and performative essence are examined. The article uses the theoretical views of representatives of the English-language scholarly tradition, as well as the scholarly observations of Uzbek researchers, as a methodological basis for linguo-folkloristic analysis. In addition, based on the author’s personal reflections and typical examples from English and Uzbek folklore texts, linguo-folkloristics is substantiated as an independent scholarly platform.
