This scientific article provides a comprehensive analysis of the development stages of European Enlightenment and Jadid literature,
their mutual typological connections, and artistic-educational characteristics. It highlights how enlightenment and ignorance, as
fundamental categories of human thought, are manifested in literary texts through systems of characters, conflict, plot, symbols,
and linguistic means. The study identifies the aesthetic, philosophical, and social functions of these concepts and evaluates their
role in the development of artistic thinking on a scientific-theoretical basis within the context of world and national literature.
