TURON – ATAMASI XITOY MANBALARIDA UCHRAYDIMI?
The term "Turan" is understood in Iranian and Islamic sources as a place of nomadic peoples who opposed the Iranian peoples. In ancient Chinese sources (for example, in the chronicles of the Tang dynasty), the regions of Turan are often referred to by the names of Tujue or other nomadic tribes. The article studies the occurrence of the terms Tur and Turan in “Chinese” sources. We all know how ancient these two terms are. We have also heard many times that this term first appeared in the “Avesta”. However, we pay special attention to how and from what period this term appears in Chinese sources. Since we could not read Chinese sources, we used the works of scholars who read and translated the source.
