This article analyzes the theoretical foundations of developing speech competence, modern approaches, didactic principles, and
effective tools. It highlights the role of communicative, competency-based, and activity-oriented approaches in speech
development. The importance of interactive methods, information and communication technologies, and digital tools in the
development of speech competence is also discussed.
