This article empirically analyzes gender differences in the manifestation of psychological autonomy and addictive behavior among students. In the course of the study, the methods of V.G. Lozovaya, A. Karabanova, and N. Poskrebysheva were applied, and the results obtained were statistically evaluated based on the Mann-Whitney U-test. According to the results, it was found that socio-behavioral addictions (alcohol, tobacco, internet) predominate in men, while drug addiction and features related to emotional components are high in women.
