This study examines the issues of digital terrain modeling (DEM) for hydrotechnical purposes using the example of the territory
surrounding the Andijan Reservoir. The choice of the “Panorama” GIS software package for processing topographic maps of the
K-43-111 nomenclature at a scale of 1:100,000 is substantiated. The research provides a detailed description of algorithms for
raster data transformation, vectorization of contour lines, and subsequent hydrological correction of the elevation matrix.
