This article examines the popularization of photography during the Soviet era and its socio-cultural significance. Throughout the 20th century, photography in the Soviet Union became not only an art form but also an important tool for propaganda and historical documentation. The development of photojournalism and the activities of the magazine Sovetskoe Foto accelerated this process. The article analyzes the works of Alexander Rodchenko, Arkady Shaikhet, Boris Ignatovich, and Yevgeny Khaldey. Their works reflect the spirit of the era, war events, and industrialization processes. Overall, Soviet photography is regarded as an important visual source of historical memory.
