This article examines the socio-philosophical nature of the dialectical relationship between historical memory and modernization processes within the context of the ongoing social transformation of Uzbek society. Particular attention is paid to the role of historical memory in shaping national self-awareness, preserving cultural continuity, and strengthening social cohesion, as well as to the impact of modernization on societal development, the transformation of social institutions, and the formation of a new value system. Drawing upon the theoretical perspectives of Uzbek and CIS scholars, the study reveals the dialectical mechanisms of interdependence, contradiction, and harmonization between historical memory and modernization. The findings demonstrate that maintaining a balanced interaction between historical memory and modernization constitutes a crucial prerequisite for the sustainable development of Uzbekistan.
