The article highlights the reforms in the sphere of higher education in Uzbekistan and priority tasks of ensuring quality and
efficiency in this sphere. The article analyzes the legal basis for ensuring the effectiveness of the national system of higher
education, priority tasks of the state policy in the sphere of higher education. The achievements in the sphere of higher education
in the conditions of new Uzbekistan and the results of reforms in this direction are revealed in the socio-historical context. Sociophilosophical
aspects of the best practices, problems and solutions in the sphere of higher education are highlighted
