The results of determining the mineralogical and petrographic composition of the rocks covering gold mining in the Shokhetov
field in the western part of the Auminzatov Mountains are presented. As a result of the analysis of the received data, the host
rocks in the Shokhetov area are composed of tuffaceous metapelites, metaleurolites and sandstones in the composition of the
Besapan suite. It is recognized that quartz-sulphide mineralization is the main product, and the main part of fine-grained
("invisible") gold in their composition consists of interstitial quartz grains with carbonate on the edges of quartzized zones of
rocks in this association.
