The article is devoted to the problem of considering the prospects for searching for hydrocarbons in the underthrust deposits of
the Avghan-Tajik depression, taking into account new geological and geophysical information obtained as a result of geological
exploration work on the Kelif-Sarykamysh license area of the Republic of Tajikistan, including the drilling of a prospecting and
appraisal well on the Shakhrinav subthrust structure and on the recommendation to carry out a method for identifying channels of
deep heat and mass transfer (HTMT) in this area, with which the places of accumulation of hydrocarbons (CH) are associated.
Anomalous zones of heat flow and elevated areas of geochemical indicators are established by using thermogeochemical surveys.
