This article examines the significance of social media in the operations of government agencies active in the field of environmental
protection. Social networks are evaluated as crucial tools for rapid information exchange with the population, shaping ecological
culture, expanding citizen participation, and strengthening the environmental image of state authorities. Drawing upon the
theoretical frameworks of foreign scholars such as J. Grunig, T. Hunt and J. Macnamara, the study analyzes models of two-way
symmetric communication and organizational listening. Furthermore, it outlines the key development vectors, current limitations,
and corresponding solutions for digital communications within Uzbekistan's ecological sector.
