PSYCHOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF ANXIETY AND NEUROTICISM MANIFESTATION IN ADOLESCENTS WITHIN THE VIRTUAL ENVIRONMENT
The article provides a systematic analysis of the psychological changes occurring in the personality traits of adolescents growing up in an information society due to their attachment to the virtual world. The study examines the relationship between online activity characteristics and the levels of emotional stability and anxiety among school students aged 14-16 (N = 92). The empirical findings reveal that adolescents with increased signs of internet dependence exhibit higher levels of neuroticism and chronic anxiety, with a predominant tendency toward virtual avoidance of real-world problems. The obtained results are statistically substantiated using Student's t-test and Pearson correlation analysis.
