THEORETICAL ASPECTS OF THE LOCATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF CITIES

The theoretical aspects of the location and development of cities, the formation of the first urban settlements, the theories of
foreign scientists regarding the location and development of cities, the formation of cities under the influence of various factors
are presented in the article. Geographical factors play an important role in the emergence and development of the network and
structure of cities, the construction of architectural and engineering structures in urban areas. It is also stated that the process of
urbanization creates huge social, economic and environmental problems. Therefore, in this article, an attempt was made to clarify
the problems of location and development of urban settlements.
