EARTHQUAKE CLUSTERING IN THE AREA OF THE ZAAMIN RESERVOIR ACCORDING TO THE DENSITY OF THEIR LOCALIZATION

Clustering of earthquakes, detection by the density of their localization in the near zone of the Zaamin reservoir of Uzbekistan is
necessary to assess changes in seismic activity around them. The main aspect of the issue of local seismicity in the area of the
Zaamin reservoir is the determination of the seismicity caused by it. It can be formed from the intensive operation of the
reservoir, that is, from rapid changes in the volume of water over short periods of time. In this paper, the determination of the
frequency of earthquakes is made by preliminary compiling a local catalog of earthquakes (including weak ones) for the zone of
influence. The assessment of the recurrence level was made for the period from 2011 to 2022, by clustering zones of high density
of epicenters and using the classical Gutenberg-Richter law. As a result, an equation for the frequency of earthquakes by clusters
for the near zone of the Zaamin reservoir was revealed.
