This article investigates the accumulation characteristics of inorganic elements in certain agricultural plants growing in the vicinity of the
Yangi Angren Thermal Power Plant, located in the Tashkent region of Uzbekistan, which is considered an environmentally unfavorable
area. Wheat ears, wheat stems, alfalfa, and maize stems were selected as the study objects. The concentrations of selected chemical
elements were determined in the plant samples. The results showed that the concentrations of heavy metals and mineral elements in
industrially developed areas were significantly higher than those in the control areas. In particular, elevated accumulation of Pb, Cd, As,
Mn, and Al was observed in alfalfa and maize stems. The obtained results confirm the technogenic impact on the environment surrounding
the Yangi Angren Thermal Power Plant and demonstrate the importance of plants as bioindicators of environmental pollution.
