SPECIES COMPOSITION OF THE COLLEMBOLA FAUNA IN COTTON AGROCENOSES OF SHOVOT DISTRICT

This article analyzes the species composition and faunistic characteristics of the springtail (Collembola) fauna in the soil ecosystem
of cotton agrocenoses in Shovot district. The relevance of the study is determined by the need to assess the diversity of soil
microarthropods in agroecosystems and to determine the bioecological status of springtails. The study used methods of soil
sampling, extraction of springtails, and species identification based on morphological and diagnostic characteristics. As a result,
the species composition of Collembola occurring in cotton agrocenoses of Shovot district was determined and their faunistic
structure was assessed. The obtained results contribute to the scientific study of soil fauna of agrocenoses in northwestern
Uzbekistan and reveal the ecological significance of springtails.
