ISOLATION, STRUCTURAL IDENTIFICATION AND SPECTROSCOPIC CHARACTERIZATION OF SELECTED TERPENOIDS FROM ARTEMISIA ANNUA L
This article presents the methods for the isolation and purification of terpenoids such as borneol, camphor, 1,8-cineole, isoborneol,
and α-terpineol from the dry biomass (primarily leaves and flowers) of Artemisia annua. The structural characterization of these
compounds was carried out using NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) spectroscopic analysis, and the obtained results are
discussed. In addition, it is reported that α-pinene, camphor, and eucalyptol are present in the plant at relatively high yields, whereas
terpenoids such as borneol, α-terpineol, linalool, and isoborneol occur at comparatively lower yields
