This article presents a comprehensive study of the geological structure and mineralogical-petrographic characteristics of the Orazali
copper-molybdenum ore occurrence located in the Northern Bukantau area of the Central Kyzylkum. It is substantiated that the
object is confined to the south-western exocontact of the Bokali granitoid intrusion, at its contact with the terrigenous rocks of the
Arkhar suite, whereas the mineralization is controlled by the intersection of the intrusive contact, ring and submeridional faults.
On the basis of field-geological and mineralogical-petrographic investigations, the contact-metasomatic rocks (hornfels, skarns,
skarnoids), the ore-mineral assemblage and a five-stage paragenetic sequence of mineral formation have been established. The
results substantiate the ore-formation model and delineate prospective zones.
