Most of the plant species grown in vitro have undergone an acclimatization phase in order to ensure good germination and vigorous growth when transplanted into soil. In the process of successful acclimatization, favorable conditions were created that ensure that the microclonal propagated plants do not die in the external environment. Elucidation of the mechanisms of genetic control of acclimation will facilitate the recovery and successful transfer of in vitro grown plants to the final stage.
