The article presents the fiber output and length of cotton hybrids obtained using varieties with different genotypes on moderately saline soils, and analyzes the results obtained on the inheritance and variability of traits. In the inheritance of traits, fiber output and fiber length in cotton hybrids, complete and partial dominance of paternal or maternal forms with a high index and heterosis, depending on the combinations, have been established. The possibility of a sharp increase in the level of variability through hybridization of varieties and lines that differ greatly in genotype and the identification of positive transgressive forms among hybrid plants with a fiber output of 40-42% and a fiber length of 36-37 mm has been confirmed.
