The studied area is located in the Bokantov mountain massif of Central Kyzylkum. The main part of the territory is occupied by Kokpatas mountains and partly by Jemditau mountains. From the north-west and south-west they connect with Kasqirtau, Oltintau and Jemtitau. In general, the paleogeographical and paleomorphological characteristics of the Bokantov massif include the Kokpatas mountains, which are the remnants of the ancient highlands in the western part of the Nurota mountains.
