Today, in our country, special attention is being paid to the issues of modernization of the education system, introduction of the most advanced educational technologies and training of students to be competitive with the world's youth. In addition, a number of reforms are being implemented in general education schools to improve the scientific and methodical support of academic subjects, to increase the quality of teaching, and to introduce modern electronic information and educational resources into educational processes. This article describes the modern methods and principles of increasing the effectiveness of biology education in general education schools, developing students' skills in using electronic information educational resources and biological competence.
