UZBEKISTAN AND THE UNITED ARAB EMIRATES – COOPERATION FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

This article analyzed the growing cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates. After the independence of Uzbekistan, cultural and religious commonality between the two countries, solidarity of the Muslim world and ties based on historical heritage spurred further development. The United Arab Emirates, with its large financial capabilities, has expressed interest in investing in promising regions, including Uzbekistan. Economically, Uzbekistan is seen as one of the most favorable places for investment among the countries of Central Asia. The relations between the United Arab Emirates and Uzbekistan are strengthened in the areas of trade, investment, transport and communications, cultural-humanitarian, ecology and tourism, and serve to create new opportunities for cooperation between the two countries.
