ABOUT THE COPPER COINS OF AMIR TEMUR FOUND IN KATTAKURGAN DISTRICT, SAMARKAND REGION

This article is dedicated to the study of three copper coins found in the “Jizmonsoy” village of the Kattakurgan district in the Samarkand region. The material composition of the coins has been determined, establishing that they were minted in the city of Samarkand in 785 Hijri (1383-1384) in the name of Amir Timur. The coins bear Amir Timur’s emblem in the form of three rings, which served as the state emblem. The article describes the distribution of these three-ring copper coins, which serve as an important source for studying the economic and financial-monetary system of the Timurid era.
