The bird ectoparasite Dermanyssus gallinae, belonging to the Dermanyssus genus, causes dermanyssiosis in poultry. This article presents an experimental study on the negative impact of dermanyssiosis on chicken productivity. The results show that chickens infected with dermanyssiosis experienced an 18.91% lower body weight gain compared to healthy ones and produced 55 fewer eggs. The economic damage caused by dermanyssiosis to chicken productivity has also been determined.
