REINTEGRATION OF CONVICTED WOMEN INTO SOCIETY AS A PSYCHOLOGICAL PROBLEM

Reliable knowledge about the socio-economic conditions and demographic characteristics of criminal experience during the period of stay in correctional institutions and its consequences for various demographic groups of society, preventive measures to correct their socialization trajectories, their resocialization and adaptation to the socio-economic conditions of the correctional institution are of great scientific and practical importance. Despite the fact that the problems of reducing the level of crime and preventing its recurrence are reflected in political programs, official documents, and programs for reforming the penal system, the question of how economically justified and promising the practice of resocialization is today remains unclear. The article discusses the psychological factors of the reintegration of women who have returned from correctional institutions into society.
