“SPECIES COMPOSITION AND DISTRIBUTION OF LEAF BEETLES (CHRYSOMELIDAE) IN SOUTHERN FERGANA
This article investigates the species composition and ecological distribution of leaf beetles (family Chrysomelidae) found in the southern part of the Fergana region. Based on field surveys conducted in both natural and agricultural cenoses from May to October 2023-2024, specimens of leaf beetles were collected and taxonomically identified. A total of 20 species belonging to the Chrysomelidae family were recorded. Their geographic distribution, feeding preferences, and ecological classifications were analyzed. The findings are of significant importance for monitoring pest populations in agroecosystems and developing effective pest control strategies.
