URBAN AIR POLLUTION: TRANSPORT GASES AND AIR QUALITY MONITORING
This article analyzes the impact of vehicle emissions on air pollution in urban environments. The main focus is on harmful substances such as carbon oxides (CO, CO₂), nitrogen oxides (NOₓ), sulfur dioxide (SO₂), and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) emitted by road transport. It also examines the importance of air quality monitoring systems, the effectiveness of modern sensor technologies, and predictive models based on artificial intelligence. The article discusses environmental and technological solutions to reduce pollution, including the development of green transport systems, electric vehicles, and strategies such as traffic restrictions.
