The article discusses the damage caused by the Indian sparrow (Passer indicus), which is widespread in the lower reaches of the Zarafshan River, to winter wheat crops, as well as measures to prevent it. The results of studies on managing the behavior of the Indian sparrow, existing problems in this field, and the advantages of using "distress calls" as a bioacoustic repellent to control the population of this species in order to prevent damage are presented.
