This article analyzes the phenomenon of bilingualism emerging in English-speaking regions and the resulting challenges related to the linguistic and ethnic identity of bilingual individuals. Special attention is given to those who are active users of English but belong to other ethnic groups or live in transcultural environments, focusing on their inner identity conflicts. The study explores the mechanisms of identity formation through the lenses of intercultural communication, linguocultural codes, and the dominant status of global English.
