This article is dedicated to the linguistic and statistical analysis of a corpus consisting of 379 English names of wild reptiles. The study’s main objective is to identify the linguistic features of this set of names, including structural patterns, frequency of lexical units, naming motivation, and distribution by initial letters. The names were grouped into thematic categories based on their general classification. The analysis revealed the linguistic strategies, the most productive lexical models, and common words used in reptile naming in English. The data are presented through tables and graphs. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of the zoological lexicon in English, particularly within the field of onomastics.
