SPECIFIC FEATURES OF COMPARATIVE LITERATURE STUDIES
This article examines the distinctive characteristics of comparative literary studies, particularly in the context of Uzbekistan’s literary scholarship. Comparative literature serves to identify general and specific patterns of literary processes by comparing the literatures of different peoples. The article discusses the theoretical foundations of this field, analyzes literary connections and typological similarities, as well as comparative-historical and comparative-typological approaches.
