This article examines the study of the issue of career choice by Uzbek scientists and their attitude to this issue, the selection of criteria for the career choice system, factors influencing career choice, as well as issues of student orientation to a career and teaching them to freely choose a career. The article also examines the scientific-theoretical and practical-methodological aspects of the selection of criteria for the attitude factor to the choice of a profession, as well as aspects of their study.
