UZBEKISTAN’S ENERGY POLICY: DEVELOPMENT STAGES AND PROSPECTS OF REGIONAL INTEGRATION
This article analyzes the formation and development stages of Uzbekistan’s energy policy since gaining independence. The study examines three distinct periods: the transition period of 1991-2016, the reform stage of 2017-2022, and the ongoing period of intensive reforms in 2023-2025. The article highlights the economic and geopolitical significance for Uzbekistan of modernizing the energy system, implementing renewable energy sources, attracting foreign investment, and pursuing regional integration. The role of regional energy integration in fostering cooperation among Central Asian countries, promoting rational use of resources, and establishing a sustainable energy system is also scientifically analyzed.
