This article analyzes the development status of the service sector in the Kashkadarya region and Kokdala district, its impact on employment and socio-economic processes. The study examined the dynamics of growth in the volume of services in the period 2022-2024, differences between districts, and interregional disparities. The analysis shows that although the service sector is developing rapidly at the regional level, reaching a volume of 43,221.2 billion soums in 2024, this process is slowing down in some districts, in particular in Kokdala district. The underdevelopment of economic infrastructure in the region, low solvency of the population, and insufficient private sector activity are noted as the main factors limiting growth rates. At the same time, it was emphasized that the expansion of the service network is an important factor in ensuring employment of the region's population and accelerating socio-economic development.
