This article determines the amount of some physiologically active substances in the process of growth and development of the plant
Sambucus nigra L., studied in the Botanical Garden of the National University of Uzbekistan: The composition and amount of
carotenoids in black elderberries were studied using HPLC - high-performance liquid chromatography. It was also found that the
main share of vitamins found in the above-ground part of the plant Sambucus nigra L. belongs to the group of water-soluble
vitamins, and in terms of quantity, the main part of these vitamins is vitamin C (ascorbic acid) and vitamin P. Information is also
provided that the amount of vitamin B 2 and vitamin K is significantly higher.
